Aliens can inhabit clouds of extinguished stars
If we one day find life beyond Earth, then we need to know where to look. Scientists have just identified a new potential habitat where it can lurk extraterrestrial civilizations.
These are the regions of the upper atmosphere of cold brown dwarfs. They are massive celestial objects measuring between these planets and stars, but without enough mass to cause a nuclear reaction.
According to calculations by scientists from the University of Edinburgh in the UK, pressure and temperature in these layers may be very similar to those we have on Earth. And for that reason, they may prove to be a suitable environment for the development of microorganisms, such as our microbes, for example.
