Video vlogging is a great way to share your experiences and the environment around you with others in these times. This week I visited "Digubabur Kacha Bazar", one of the main centers of heritage in my beloved city Narayanganj and I am presenting that experience to you.

1. Which local market did you visit, and what makes it unique compared to other markets?

I visited ‘Digubabur Kacha Bazar’, one of the traditional and heart-centered markets in my city Narayanganj, this week. This Digubabur Kacha Bazar is intertwined with the daily lives of all the people of Narayanganj. There are some special reasons behind why this market is unique compared to other markets.

Our Digubabur Bazar in Narayanganj is not just a shopping place, but it is a traditional place intertwined with history. This market is unique compared to other modern markets because it still has a kind of old atmosphere or ‘old Dhaka’-like’ busyness. Due to the excellent connectivity of the river and road, the huge gathering of wholesale and retail shopping that can be seen here is really different from any other place. The activity that starts here as soon as the dawn breaks is unlike anything seen anywhere else in the city. In short, Digubabur Bazar is not just a place to buy products, but this market is a living picture of our Narayanganj, which always gives me a strange feeling.

2. What products or local specialties did you find most interesting, and why?.

Every nook and cranny of our Digubabur Bazaar in Narayanganj seems to have a story hidden in it. However, what struck me most about this entire market is the ‘liveliness’ of the products here. In this Digubabur Bazaar, next to the raw market, there is a huge collection of fresh sea and river fish in the fish market. Since the market is close to the banks of the Shitalakshya River, the freshness of the fish was remarkable. In addition, the stalls of fresh vegetables brought directly by farmers throughout the entire area of ​​this Digubabur Bazaar impressed me very much. The scent of spices from the old shops of the market and the combination of local products made of clay pots and pans and bamboo and cane gave the market a different cultural atmosphere.

3. How did the market reflect the lifestyle, culture, and daily activities of the local people?

Our Digubabur market in Narayanganj is not just a place to buy and sell goods, but it is a living reflection of the lifestyle of the people of Narayanganj. In my observation, the way this market reflects our culture and activities is highlighted below:

• Social interaction: Our Digubabur market in Narayanganj is a meeting place for people from different walks of life. Here, from a common working man to a busy businessman and big people of the city, everyone can be seen shopping with equal interest. However, the culture of exchanging greetings with each other, laughing and joking with long-known sellers and bargaining between buyers in this market has become an integral part of our local life.

• ​Early work ethic: The activity that starts every morning in our Digubabur market shows the hard work and indomitable willpower of the people of Narayanganj. Every day before sunrise, when fresh vegetables from farmers' fields and fresh fish brought by fishermen from rivers and ponds reach the hands of buyers, it seems that the entire city is moving because of this market.

Therefore, this Digubabu market is not an establishment for me, but rather it is a story of our daily struggle and a great reflection of the joy of living. Behind the busyness of every person in this market are family responsibilities and dreams of the future, which enriches our culture even more.

4. Did you capture any unexpected or memorable moments during your video vlog? Describe what happened and how it made your vlog more engaging.

Every moment of this video vlogging teaches us something new, but during our trip to Digubabur Bazaar in Narayanganj, I captured a scene that really stuck in my heart. In a corner of the raw market, I saw a small boy sitting with his stall set up. He was selling lemons and (bilati dhonia pata) with great enthusiasm. The most interesting thing here was the way he was selling lemons and bilati dhonia pata the boy was not just sitting there quietly, but was calling the customers in a very sweet tone to buy fresh lemons and bilati dhonia pata from him. Along with selling his products, he was also giving various tips to the customers, which I was really surprised to see.

This unexpected scene has transformed my blog from an ordinary video into a very human story. The indomitable enthusiasm of that little boy and his unique style of selling lemons and bilati dhonia pata amidst the hustle and bustle of this Digubabu market will win the hearts of the viewers. When the viewers see how this little boy is so careful about his work in this vlog video of mine, they will not only see our market, but also be able to feel the indomitable will to survive of the people of Narayanganj. I personally feel that this little boy and the spontaneous moment gave life to my blog, which could not have been achieved with any planned shot.
