school really is prison, we just learn useless information that we will never use in the real world, they need to teach real world value subjects, how to pay taxes, apply for loan, investing etc.
How about critical thinking aswell

A shame... Teaching used to be a calling. I wouldn't let my kids near a school, I taught then myself at home! It isn't so much a prison as a cesspool!

SO TRUE! Of course, we are being operated by a corporation rather than a government. The chairs of our government have been empty for decades. But, that makes your point even more effective. The rule of law must be enforced throughout all aspects of our country!

from what i have seen, i find that homeschooled kids are more respectful, imaginitive, creative, inquisitive, open-minded...public school system is a joke, a brainwash!

I wished my parents thought of pulling me out of school. Because just like the moderator by 7th grade I thought that school was a joke. I was exploring other topics that interested me and never wanted to go because I was learning more by going to the library.
With the Internet we don't need School's / Government Indoctranation Camps only teach you to be a good slave/worker.
Self Teach yourself what you want to learn!
The most apt thing i heard was that school is indoctrination and not education.
