Arriving in the Beagle Channel at sunset

Besides seeing a huge pod of playful Dusky Dolphins at the entrance of the beagle channel we were greeted by flocks and flocks of black browed albatross sitting on the calm waters. As the ship approached them they would take off, which was a perfect opportunity to do my best to snap a picture of these graceful giants.

“Once wedded to Nature there is no divorce - separate her you may and hide yourself amongst the flesh-pots of London, but the wild will keep calling and calling forever in your ears. You cannot escape the ‘little voices’.”

Some bird the albatross a lot bigger than the bird I’ve just posted about, cheers mike

Your quote fits perfectly to the shot! It makes me want to go out on the sea and feel the fresh breeze on my skin and the smell of salty water...

Writing beautifully your blog

Walkin' on water, those Black-browed Albatross!

I read a while back that more and more tourists are visiting Antarctica as time passes. Do you think a growing number of tourist can have a disastrous effect on Antarctica's pristine environment?

Grandiose things are done by grandiose facilities. One nature does great for free.Your post pleased me, so to hold.Success and good day.
