Steps:

#1
Join your shelter, veterinary clinic or a handler. Consider setting up an animal club at your school or, if possible, at work. Or you could even get a job related to animals. This is not a must, but it might help you to meet others like you.

#2
Think about whether you want to become vegan or vegetarian. It's really a matter of choice, but it's hard to really love animals and pay for them to be killed. Being vegan / vegetarian is also a great way to fight climate change and make yourself healthier. Becoming a vegetarian can also help or you could try to reduce meat and dairy products. You might even try (if you are particularly addicted to one thing) to cut everything out, but say cheese.

#3
Be nice to people. You do not always have to be kind to people, but if you extend your love for all living beings to humans, your kindness will be outstanding.

#4
Adopt or save your own animal. Maybe you could pick up a cute cat, a dog, a bird or a small animal from your local rescue! Be sure to always take an animal out of a shelter. Many baby animals end up in shelters and are even laid down because they have no place in the shelters to absorb more.

#5
Do not support the exotic pet trade. These animals are not destined to live in cages and suffer terribly when they come to you, and many do not live nearly
as long in captivity as in the wild.

#6
Make sure you take care of animals. Make sure they have water at all times and are well fed. Dogs should be at least a reasonable length a day, preferably with some distance. If you work all day, remember to ask a relative / friend / neighbor if you are taking your dog for a walk or considering a dog handler. If you have a cat, it should be skipped at least once a day.

#7
Choose clothing that minimizes the plight of animals being hunted and harvested. Avoid clothes that contain animal products such as leather, fur or snake skin. Most pet lovers buy t-shirts that they think are cute, but how about your purchase to honor the lives of all animals? Your purchase could even support local or global animal aid.

#8
Pay attention to the feelings and feelings of your pet (s). Hurting your pet's emotions can cause deep anxiety and cause animals to lead a restless life. Encourage those who have injured animals to recognize the damage they have done and get them to find better ways to honor the spirit of their animals. If you only allow individuals to abuse their pets, you are basically an accomplice to their cruelty.
