Anime Styled Backgrounds: Art Showcase For Upcoming Game 'Fragment Minds'
'Fragment Minds' is a psychological thriller visual novel set in the dark, beautiful winter. It takes place in high school - after 3 students committed suicide simultaneously.
What's mysterious about these deaths is that they all occurred at different locations. There's no connection between them, apart from that they attended the same school together.
Is such a coincidence even possible? Or was this a mastermind murder?
Police investigators have already confirmed that all the deaths were due to suicide, but what will you - the player - conclude?
Gameplay
Fragment Minds is a hybrid visual novel with investigative gameplay mechanics. It is being developed on Game Maker as opposed to the standard VN engines, so there will be a decent chunk of gameplay:
- Plenty of dialogue choices and decisions which will affect the endings
- Detective/Investigative gameplay mechanics. Will you be able to unravel the mysteries?
- Character stats and personality traits
- Several mini-games which will impact your stats
Fragment Minds is currently in the early stages of development and is expected to be released early 2018.
Atmospheric Backgrounds
Art and music play a huge factor in setting the atmosphere of a game. We've been reaally focused on making our game as immersive and atmospheric as possible - our background artist 'Bogdan mB0sco' did a pretty good job at it:

The amazing thing is not the actual game, but their blog... they developers aren't only telling us they're making it. they're showing us why they make their decisions. their "How to Write Loveable Characters" article is so good.

I always give vague release dates lol. 'Early 2018' is the best I can say, but I might as well just say it's done when it's done ^^ I also plan on launching a Kickstarter in 2 months :-) That will have a trailer video + a gameplay demo.

Yeh it'll be on Steam and GoG (hopefully). The more platforms the better :D
