This is a rare piece of engineering history it's a mechanical calculator housed in a wooden case and made by Prout in the 1940's - it was used for calculating spiral gear dimensions for machinery. Not very many were made as it's such a specialist tool and this is the only one i've ever seen. Retail value around 200GBP.
