Don't Look Now - Light PaintingsteemCreated with Sketch.

in #appreciator5 years ago (edited)

Using my daydreaming time wisely this particular lunchtime thinking of lp shots.

I've been wanting to expand upon a multi-axis rotation technique, getting to know how having the camera in a certain orientation affects the placement of each rotation.

Too many test shots to mention but this is the closest I got to perfect skull eye placement.

Mid-exposure lens swap from the Mintola 50mm f1.7 on the macro tubes to the Pentax 28mm,

As near as makes no odds sooc, shot during a single long exposure in complete darkness. Raw conversion in LR.

Here is another shot made by panning the camera on my rotation rig. Here I rotated one of Hugo's video loops on 2 axis either side of my silhouette.

The one below was created in my kitchen. The place I work on techniques before releasing them into the wild. I quite like it but felt it lacked some finishing touches

The last one below is where I expanded on the idea with the added human form and one of my favourite shots to date.
