أصبح العديد من الشباب المغاربة يفضلون حياة العزوبية على الزواج وتكوين أسرة وما يصاحب ذلك من متطلبات اجتماعية وتبعات اقتصادية ونفسية؛ فحسب المعهد الدولي المتخصص في دراسة الأسرة و الحياة الزوجية، ان 8 ملايين إمرأة في سن الزواج يشتكين من العنوسة.
ومن جهة اخر اكد تقرير المندوبية السامية للتخطيط ان سن الزواج إرتفع عند الإناث إلى 28 سنة وعنذ الذكور إلى 32 سنة
بحيث اجدادنا كانوا يتزوجون في سن مبكر جدا بحيث الفتاة في سن 14 تتزوج وعند الذكور 18سنة كحد اقصى.

الشيء الذي يطرح تساؤلات حول الأسباب التي تدفع بالشباب إلى العزوف او التاخر عن الزواج ومن بينها

تفاقم مشكل البطالة لدى الشباب في المغرب

خروج المرأة للعمل و طلب المساواة مع الرجل في كل الوظائف

إرتفاع تكاليف الزواج وكثرة المتطلبات
