Thanks. I think that is the best strategy. It is not a small amount of money but it isn't crazy high either. I went a bit crazy putting about 10 BTC worth in the DAO and it was just plain stupid. I bought the line that it couldn't fail - more fool me! I've learned my lesson now - a good investor exercises some restraint too, otherwise it just becomes like gambling.
We all lost money on that Titanic. I actually only did 1/2 BTC into that one.
You're lucky. Yes definitely a Titanic - in some ways worse because it didn't just go down once and get it over with!
You didn't get all yours back? I came out slightly ahead on The DAO debacle.
I got it back but it was worth significantly less than it had been before the whole thing. So I see it as a big loss.
Oh, yeah. I see. Mine would have just remained in ETH anyway, so I didn't really feel it. I didn't even look at the USD difference.
