Exalted praise from the UN peacekeeping force in the United Nations

Peacekeepers of Bangladesh are working relentlessly to build world peace. Their success in establishing peace has brought Bangladesh the second largest peacekeeping supporter state. President of the 72nd General Assembly of the United Nations, Mirslaw Lajak said, "Bangladeshis have made an example by serving devotedly in a riot-prone region to build peace," said Mirslaw Lajak, a Bangladeshi peacekeeper.

United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres also lauded the UN peacekeeping mission in honor of the UN peacekeeping mission, organized by the United Nations Headquarters on 30th anniversary of the UN peacekeeping mission. In addition to human rights protection, he also impressed the role of Bangladesh peacekeepers in establishing permanent peace in the troubled areas. He thinks Bangladeshi peacekeepers in any mission in the world, so today is the example.

In 1988, the peacekeepers of Bangladesh took part in UN peacekeeping missions to meet Iraq's riot. That's the world's 27 missions. Now they are working in 11 countries. At present, 7,080 people are in these missions. Of them, there are 5,456 army personnel, 340 navy, 501 air force and 783 of the police force. According to the findings, Bangladeshis working in the Central African Republic, Cyprus, Democratic Republic of Congo, Haiti, Lebanon, Liberia, Mali, South Sudan and Sudan. In the meantime, some commanders including the army commander are also among the toppers.

In the last 30 years, 142 Bangladeshis gave their lives to establish peace. 223 people were injured. They were remembered with respect to the UN program.

As peace ambassador of world peace, our peacekeeping forces are making unreliable contributions to the honor of Bangladeshis by highlighting the country's name; let them know this great sacrifice as a small representative of the nation.
