  I`m engaged in it from my childhood. Petrykivka painting was recognized to be a Ukrainian brand.  In 2013 it was listed as intangible cultural heritage of the world by UNESCO.

It appeared long before Christianity and was used as a guardian. There is a spiritual power in beauty, so, in Ukrainian houses doors and windows often are decorated with Petrykivka décor, which protect the owners from evil. It has it`s own unrepeatable stile.
