A cherry tree in Chinese ink (Original painting)
Good afternoon, dear friends of Steemit. Today I share another painting of a branch of flowering cherry, using the traditional Chinese technique. Style that I like a lot and that I am still learning, since it is not an easy technique to master, it requires a lot of time, dedication and, above all, patience.
For this painting I used the materials I show below:
- Chinese ink.
- Watercolor in pills.
- Chinese brushes and a toothpick.
- A special 120gr / m2 sheet for watercolors and ink.
- A felt, a paperweight and containers for water.
Painting process:
I started painting the branch of the tree with pure Chinese ink and with the brush almost dry, thus achieving the effect that can be seen in the image. Likewise, with a very thin toothpick, I began to draw flowers on some parts of the branch.
I continued drawing the flowers with the Chinese ink, and in turn added another branch with the same technique with which I had started.
After that I painted the flowers with drops of pink watercolor, at the same time that I painted I dropping some drops along the leaf, giving the impression that there are petals falling and being guided by the wind. Finally, I painted some parts of the branch with brown watercolor, and I signed my finished painting.
I say goodbye by thanking you for see what I love doing, I hope that you liked this painting as much as I did, as well as that you tell me in the comments that you thought of all this.
