Plein air watercolor painting in Alicante

Hello!
Today I would like to share this painting I did in the watercolor sketchbook this afternoon in a park in the city of Alicante. Spain.
It was very hot day.. So i sat down in the few shadows spots to take a break and make this sketch.

I started tracing the basic composition with soft pencil lines . usually i use a color pencil for that.

Then I start by putting layers.of wet color. Its good to wet first the page so the watercolor can have the enough liquid to expand and make those nice gradients we all like in the technique.

I put greens after that, trying to put more than one green. And doing wet on wet mixtures to obtain those gradients of color.

Finally i add some opaque color, mixing white gouache with watercolors and painting those hard lines.

I dont have a lot of photos of the process because the making of its very intense and fast. And you cant wait to take the smartphone on location and making pictures while you holding the sketchbook. The paints the brush, etc.
Anyways..i will try to record some videos soon.. To show more of the process.
