Since it was writer's day, Nathan decided to get up early in order to finally finish his book. When the main character is preparing breakfast for himself, his father comes and says that a promising day awaits the first.
Nathan, rereading his latest novel "Big time", wonders what to focus the attention of his heroine Elizabeth Beckett, but after deleting the last paragraph, his mother distracts him. She says she couldn't finish sewing the same way. Having decided to change the situation, the main character goes to his room and takes a short break to watch videos on YouTube. After that, Nathan, switching to Word and encouraging himself, decides: write 1 or 2 chapters, take a break for lunch, another chapter before dinner, finish off 2 more chapters before going to bed and tomorrow as well. After a second, the main character realizes that he can handle it. Losing his enthusiasm, Nathan realizes that this is not the book he originally planned to work on. He wants to write a book about the balance between the excitement of starting from scratch and watching the bittersweet tragedy of how his old life, which he hated, and now realizes that he will never return to it, is dying. It turns out that the main character scored on the most interesting thing in his paragraph. The same inscription in a strange language and the same robot pops up in his head. Trying to come up with a suitable ending for this chapter, Nathan guesses that he is writing some nonsense, the opposite of everything bright. At this very moment, the main character understands: that inscription means: "Radiant."
Later, when he comes to the Reel World movie store where Marshall works, Nathan sees how he can't help the customer with the selection of a suitable movie with an empty look. It turns out that the main character's friend has been busy all this time coming up with a cool superhero name for him. Nathan says he doesn't want to be a superhero, but Marshall confronts him with the fact: it's too late to back out, since after the battle with the guy in red, the first one became a hero in the eyes of the public. A terrified Burnett asks him to keep his voice down. The main character informs a friend that he has taken a break from writing a book, as well as about that word. Then Marshall quickly comes up with a name for him: "Radiant Black". Nathan says it's more associated with Batman than with him. A friend, on the contrary, thinks it has more to do with that black hole, not the Dark Knight. Burnett suggests a name: "Black Hole". However, it seems to Marshall that this would be more suitable for a Marvel comics character of the 1970s. The friend also informs that he has already registered the main character a page on "Tweet" in the name: "Radiant Black". Marshall did this so that Nathan could control his story. An angry Burnett says he's sick of it and leaves. Along the way, the main character decides to try to come up with a good sequel in a bar. After the second glass of beer, Nathan finally comes up with an idea.
Later at home, not paying attention to the fact that everything is written in an alien language, the main character writes the perfect ending. At some point, someone blows up the roof, and then kidnaps Nathan. The main character sees another Radiant Black. Once at a high altitude above the city, the latter tells Nathan that he is his best future version, and then throws him down. A second later, the main character wakes up in bed. It turns out that after the bar, he never came up with the perfect ending, passed out in his room. After that, a message comes to his superhero account for help with a flat tire on 355.
Arriving at the scene, Nathan meets the family of his first fan Bulls. Burnett, not knowing what to do, tries to help the man, but accidentally breaks a couple of tools. The child condemns the Radiant Black, and the mother, on the contrary, encourages him, saying that everyone is not good at everything. Then the main character has an idea. He asks the fan and his family to get in the car, and then takes a transport, flies with him to his destination. The family thanks Nathan and gives him a warm scarf.
Later, returning home, the main character sees that the writer's day is over and decides to continue next time. A few minutes later, Nathan gets out of bed and writes the perfect ending for his novel.
In the morning, Henry comes to his room and says that he will cook breakfast for himself and for him.
After some time, the main character reads the novel "After Life", written by Chris Grillot.
