Yes, Otto is right. It's a lime leaf and the legend of Siegfried.
it is a lime leaf (Linde in German) - tilia europaea - and in this context, it refers to the Siegfried legend.
not that well known actually - the lime (Linde) leaf. You won't find it in wikipedia, but I have a old book of German Mythology and it is found in there.
