Steemit Art School - You Can Draw Too!

in #art7 years ago (edited)

On my last post I showed how I redraw my student's characters to help them learn in an apprenticeship style method. I really enjoy doing these so I thought I would open this up to the Steemit Community. The purpose of this is to show the student how they might approach their own drawing.

So, If you would like a redraw of your art (it can also be your kid's art) post it in the comments below,
Follow,
Upvote,
Resteem,
and use the tag steemitartschool.

Here are a couple more examples.

It looks like can learn a lot from your post.

So fun! I love seeing how other people approach the same character. :)

Cool! I'll be doing something similar with my "Steemit Art School" idea. If I can work around this big new project I was hired to do.

I think you did a good job explaining negative shapes! The only thing I would add is that these shapes are not just things to become aware of, but learning how to consciously manipulate and design them to clarify your picture.

On my dragon picture, notice how I used the negative space to make the silhouette read clearly. Every part was a decision.

Hope this helps!
