¡Hola! Espero todos estén super chévere, hoy vengo a compartirles una ilustración que hice hace unos días y que es, hasta ahora, uno de mis proyectos favoritos. Hice ésta ilustración porque quería capturar la sensación de optimismo y esperanza que he experimentado y que puedo percibir de otras personas éstas últimas semanas, después de varios sucesos en pro de nuestra soberanía que han ocurrido últimamente, después de años de desesperanza y desilución.
- ♥ Hello! I hope everyone is doing fine, today I've decided to share an illustration that I made a few days ago and that is, so far, one of my favorite projects I've ever done. I made this illustration because I wanted to capture the feeling of optimism and hopefulness that I have been experiencing and that I can perceive from other people around me these last few weeks, after several events in favor of our sovereignty that have occurred lately, after years of despair and dissapointment.

Me entusiasma la idea de que muy pronto podamos disfrutar de la Venezuela que solíamos tener. Poder ver a nuestros amigos y familiares en persona nuevamente, poder estar sanos, que los niños reciban una buena educación en sus escuelitas y estén bien alimentados. Trabajar duro para invertir en nuestro país y poder reconstruirlo es algo por lo que apuesto y sé que no será facil, pero vamos por buen camino.
- ♥ I'm excited by the idea of being able to enjoy the Venezuela we used to have. To be able to see our friends and family in person again, to be healthy, for the children to receive a good education in their schools and to be well nourished. Working hard to invest in our country and rebuild it is something I'm betting on and I know it will not be easy, but we're on the right track.
Básicamente, el concepto para ésta ilustración, fue mostrar las estrellas de la bandera en el suelo, destruidas para luego ser reconstruidas y puestas en alto por ésta linda chica, que podría representar a Venezuela (a la libertad o la esperanza) mientras comienza a amanecer. Además siempre me gusta incorporar personajes femeninos y fuertes en mi trabajo.

- ♥ Basically, the concept for this illustration, was to show the stars of the flag on the ground, completely destroyed and then rebuilt and put on high by this beautiful girl, who could represent Venezuela (or maybe freedom or hope) as it begins to dawn. Also, I always like to incorporate feminine and strong characters in my work.

Thank you so much for your support. Living here is like riding an emotional rollercoaster for sure! Some days I feel really determined to get work done, then I go outside and see kids eating from trash cans and it ruins me. All of my friends have migrated to other countries, I lost my job, etc. But I feel like this will come to an end soon and when it happens I'll be here ready to do whatever it takes to help myself and others get back on track!
I can only imagine... 😶

It is a beautiful illustration and the theme that it represents is also lovely. The girl though she is sad, there seems to be strength and quiet determination portrayed in her posture as well :).
