The Wind And The Sun (on pastel)

Using a two-decade-old pencil, I carefully outlined the key parts of the drawing based on the printed copy. I did not have to use any scaling method since proportion was not important in this project.

With a new set of 16-color pastels, It took some time to saturate the whole illustration board with colors.

It was not easy to begin but this project had a deadline...

I started with light colors in the background as much as possible.

More and more pastel used! The board was a little rough and white spots were not easy to fill.

Tired of doing it in bed, I went out to the living room and rested it on the floor.

I hadn't used pastel for decades until then, but I'm glad my elementary art lessons kicked in. Cheers!
