Examining The Remarkable Work Of A Great Artist

Howdy folks and greetings from the Great Plains of North Texas!
While studying a few sculptures by Lorenzo Quinn that caught my eye recently I discovered that he had a great deal more variety than I realized and I also found out that he was the son of actor Anthony Quinn.
Lorenzo is the same artist who created The Force Of Nature that I showed on one of my recent posts:
So anyway, there were so many other great sculptures that I wanted to share a few. I think you'll enjoy these:
The first two are in Venice, Italy:

He talks about this particular sculpture:
"“I wanted to sculpt what is considered the hardest and most technically challenging part of the human body,” the artist said. “The hand holds so much power – the power to love, to hate, to create, to destroy.”

This one is in a park in London and it's called "I will catch you if you fall."

To call Lorenzo Quinn a fine artist somehow seems inadequate. I see him more as a modern day Rodin or Bernini. It's exciting to think that we have many more years of his creative genius to enjoy.

lol! Thanks sir wwwiebe, well I love posting about rednecks and I used to do that every single post with a joke or funny photo about Southern rednecks so I'll probably do more of that.
I guess I need to do another explanation about rednecks though since it's been a few months because people have no idea what the term means and in the last 10 years politicians have tried to make the term mean "a racist" which is not true at all.

Amazing. I had seen images of some of the statues. Did not know much about the artist. Thanks for sharing. I loved the first two, especially "the force of nature". Impressive.

Hi janton, I really like Lorenzo's Quinn's art, it has such a graceful fluidity. So agree with your words about the synchronistic of the universe. I believe that we are part of the great God Force of the universe doing our job to anchor love and light on the earth.

Howdy tonight Melinda! I finally got back online after I was on for an hour and then had to be off for another three! Oh well. Some days just don't work out and steemit never stands still for you. I think Quinn is a very impressive artist, I agree!

Howdy Melinda! What do you have in the next 3 days? Is it family related stuff? I gave out last night before I caught up but that's okay, it's raining here so I'll be on most of the day.
Family animals today and tomorrow cleaning and baking for a Sunday visit from my old grade school chums. They are lucky that the Packers have a night game on Sunday against the Chiefs. (who actually appear to be doing well this year!) As it is I will be missing the F1 race.
It is so funny to me that everyone thinks I must be lonely living here alone. If they only knew that I don't have enough hours in the day to get everything done that I want to do!
