10 Incredible Tattoo Artists You May Not Have Heard Of
As a tattoo artist myself, I am the first to admit that there is a lot of tattoo work in the world that is incredible shitty. That said there are some artists who's unique visions and remarkable skills allow them to stand out against the rest. These are some of my favorite tattoo artists.
▪1. Judicael Vares http://judicaelsacredskulls.com/ - my mentor and teacher. Well rounded but remarkably skilled in sacred geometry and integration of ancient symbols to make beautiful intentional designs.
▪2. Watsun Akitson http://watsunatkinsun.com/ - I love his cult sigils and burnt charcoal aesthetic.
▪3. Frank Carrilho https://ink361.com/app/users/ig-242838057/frankcarrilho/photos - like sketchbook masterpieces on the body
▪ 4. Roxx https://2spirittattoo.com/roxx/ - one of the most cutting edge artists in tattooing, her work is like architectural design for the body.
▪5. Marc/Little Swastika little-swastika.com - a polarizing figure, partly because he intentionally removed two of his fingers. I love his rebellion against established tradition and desire to use the body the same as a canvas for painting with his huge abstract bodysuits.
▪6. Samarina Nika https://nikasamarina.deviantart.com/ - like fine psychedelic painting on skin
▪7. Brandon Crone http://www.brandoncrone.com/ - amazing blackwork/geometric pattern work
▪8. Kenji Alucky https://www.blackinkpower.com/kenji-alucky/ - the last three are Japanese artists. Kenji has some incredible designs
▪9. Nissaco http://www.tattoolife.com/nissaco-japanese-mix/ - a more detailed tattoo artist cannot be found!
▪10. Gakkin http://gakkin-tattoo.com/ - heavy blackwork meets Japanese traditional
I hope you enjoyed this post and seeing these artists who are really creating from a cut above usual tattoo work and defining themselves as true tattoo ARTIST.
All the best,
Jake
