A caricature as a wedding invitation card - creative! Made this commission some months ago. My advise for any beginner caricature drawer is to make lots of quick drawings of your subject and get to know the shapes of the faces. Try out different ideas on how to distort the face and still keeping the similarity.
I liked it but everybody is not as enthusiastic ;) Our house-dog Lizzy.

Hahaha, you have captured her look super well! I never can do caricature too well, but again maybe that's because I'm too concentrated on achieving realism. You have captured her expression very well and the shading is lovely.

Thanks, I think everyone can feel good doing their own art - everyone have their own expression an way - art, music ans so on. As long as we don't compare ourselves with others it is great, and after some training it's no big deal showing that you create. all the best!

I've actually never tried caricatures, portraits are my weakest point :)
I'm digging deeper and deeper into the realm of portraits - they are tricky - a test of accuracy. I'm sure you would be great if you took your time!
I'm good with photo studies, but they take a loong time. Drawing a believable portait rom imagination is a too hard ^^ Caricatures is a middle ground, as it's still requires imagination to draw.
Realistic from imagination is always hard - but I have trained a lot of anatomy - helped a lot
