I've never seen this painting before. In one of the valley's near Oberstdorf, there's a spot where the river bank is full of balancing rock sculptures; hundreds of them.
The plateau of Totes Gebirge certainly is a landscape you'd love to see. Want to join me on a drone-hike there next spring?
I'm up for that! =) I started looking up the region after reading your post. I have seen little of Austria thus far.
