Princess Tsunade, the 5th Hokage | Digital Art

Very good evening my dear readers of the #Steemit artistic community, I hope you are feeling very well, your friend Manuel greets you here, super happy to be able to share with you a new artistic post for my blog. This time I bring you an illustration that I made a couple of days ago, in it I basically wanted to make a more #fanart style representation of one of the characters of my favorite anime of all time, such as Naruto, it is an anime that I have seen no less than 10 complete times, and until a week ago I watched it again from start to finish Hokage), and well it made me want to make a little #fanart of her, yes, adapted to my illustration style... I hope you like it and here I will show you a little of the process of this work:

Muy buenas noches mis queridos lectores de la comunidad artística de #Steemit, espero que se encuentran super bien, por aquí los saluda su amigo Manuel super feliz de poder compartirles un nuevo post artístico para mi blog. Esta vez las traigo una ilustración que hice hace un par de dias, en ella básicamente quería hacer una representación mas a estilo #fanart sobre unos de los personajes de mi anime favorito de toda la vida como lo es Naruto, es un anime que he visto no menos de 10 veces completas, y hasta hace una semana me la volví a ver de principio a fin XD, y mientras la veía me di cuenta de algo, y es que creo que he ilustrado a muchos personajes de este anime, a excepción de la Princesa Tsunade (5ta Hokage), y bueno me dieron ganas de hacer un pequeño #fanart de ella, eso sí, adaptado a mi estilo de ilustración…espero les guste y aquí les mostrare un poco del proceso de esta obra:

I decided to start with a preliminary sketch. In this case, I drew the character Tsunade in a slightly more portrait-like style to focus on her most characteristic features, as well as to add and detail her faithful summoning creature, the slug Katsuyu. Once I had my idea captured in lines, I continued with what would be the search for colors to bring it to life. In this case, for the skin, I used shades between soft peach and slightly reddish tones. With the peach tones, I worked on the basic shape of the skin and the volumes, and with the reddish tones, I detailed the deep shadows under the neck, on the chest, the tip of the nose, etc.

Decidí empezar con un boceto primario, en este caso dibujé al personaje de Tsunade con un estilo un poco mas retrato para centrarme en los detalles mas característica de este personaje, así como también para agregar y detallar muy bien a su fiel criatura de invocaciones como lo es la babosa (Katsuyu). Una vez tenia toda mi idea plasmada en trazos continúe con lo que sería la búsqueda de colores para darle vida, en este caso para la piel use tonos entre el durazno suave y unos tonos un poco mas rojizos, con los tonos duraznos me encargue de trabajar la forma básica de la piel y los volúmenes, y con los tonos rojizos detalle un poco mas las sombras profundas debajo del cuello, en el pecho, punta de la nariz, etc.

For the eyes, my idea was for the character Tsunade to be looking intently at the slug (Katsuyu) resting on her shoulder. To achieve this, I used a slightly warmer color palette, mixing shades of yellow, orange, and a little white to create eyes as golden and bright as honey. Then, for the hair, I returned to the yellow tones, but in this case in a slightly paler shade. With my square-tipped brush, I created the basic shape of the hair with plenty of volume on the sides, but very smooth. With watercolor, I added a little relief and shape, as well as shadows on the inside. Finally, with my 3-pointed brush, I finished the texture.

Para el trabajo de los ojos mi idea era que el personaje de Tsunade se encontrara mirando finamente a la babosa (Katsuyu) la cual estaría posada sobre su hombro, para esto use una paleta de colores un poco mas cálida, mezclando tonos amarillos, naranjas y un poco de blanco para crear unos ojos tan dorados y brillantes como la miel. Después para el apartado del cabello volví a la gama de los tonos amarillos, pero en este caso en un matiz un poco mas pálido, con mi pincel de punta cuadrada fui creando la forma básica del cabello con bastante volumen a los lados, pero muy liso, con la acuarela di un poco de relieve y forma, así como sombras en la parte interna; ya al final con mi pincel de 3 puntas culmine la textura.

For the clothing, I used opaque brown tones to create a kind of kimono that fit Tsunade's body shape. To do this, I only used flat brushes to achieve the look I wanted. Then, using green tones, I created a second, slightly looser-fitting nightgown with long sleeves, like the one the character wears in the anime. To create the slug Katsuyu, I started with a base of blue-greys. Here, I decided to use almost exclusively the airbrush brush to achieve a more realistic texture. With soft, rounded strokes, I shaped the slug's body, and with dark blue tones, I created the pattern of markings that this creature has on its back and sides.

En el caso de la vestimenta use tonos marrones opacos para crear una especie de kimono ajustado a la silueta del cuerpo de Tsunade, para esto solo aplique pinceles planos para lograr la apariencia que yo quería, luego con tonos verdes cree un segundo camisón un poco mas holgado y con mangas largas como el que lleva el personaje en el anime. Para crear a la babosa Katsuyu partí de una base de grises-azulados, aquí si me decidí por usar casi únicamente el pincel de aerógrafo para lograr una textura mas realista, con trazos suaves y redondeados le di la forma al cuerpo de la babosa, y con tonos azules oscuros cree lo que seria el patrón de marcas que lleva esta criatura en el lomo y los lados de su cuerpo.
