THE EMPOWERED YIN- Definition of SHE

Let us redefine the definition of SHE. Let us understand the concept of femininity in terms of the metaphysical software. SHE is not just a construct of a specific physical anatomy. SHE , in the metaphysical construct, is a powerful source of all creation. SHE is the Divine Feminine, the Goddess within. SHE is the Yin… the Yin which embodies emotional logic, intuition, feelings, thought, from the very core of which flows creativity, life, the sense of being alive.

All ancient cultures have held her as the source of divine energy. It is this the feminine, Yin counterpart of the society which is instrumental in bringing about change, progress and evolution. The Yin energy is the source of emotional logic and creative and innovative thought. After all, “the heart has its reasons, reason knows nothing of”. It taps into the 90% unconscious, unravelled mysteries embedded deep in our higher consciousness.

Yin is the thought that unfolds, directs and executes the Yang, the action source. Never is it the other way round. The role of the Yang, the Divine Masculine, is to manifest the Yin into the reality of the physical world.

We all possess the Yin and the Yang, the Feminine and the Masculine.

We say, women must be treated with love and respect. And yes, it is true. But pray, tell me, a man or society that is not sensitive, that views the vulnerability of emotions as weakness, and resorts to mindless aggression, what honour will it truly give to its women. It will only look at women as weak, because a woman feels. It is this distorted understanding that must change. Society at large must understand the value of the powerful vulnerability of yin that moves mountains with love, not aggression. …..

I was wanting to create a portrait that does justice to the Empowered Feminine. And I was on a journey of esoteric exploration. The alchem is this powerful oracle imagery of the Divine Feminine, embodied in the Triple Moon Goddess. The construct of the artwork above is full of symbolism from Wiccan and Shaman philosophy.

The Triple Moon Goddess embodies the three stages of the feminine — the Maiden, the Mother, the Crone.

Maiden is the Phoenix Energy, going through many transformations, seeking, learning, reinventing herself.

Mother is the nurturer, the source of life, in union with her Horned God Consort. From her womb and essence flows all creativity, fertility, existence and the alchemy of 5 elements of the Universe.

Crone is the wisdom of the Owl Energy, centered and in acceptance of all that was, all that is, and all that is to come.

When the Divine Feminine, the Yin, is empowered, all abundance, fertility and creativity (embodied in the Pentacle Star and the Fertility Spiral), flows from her and brings prosperity and harmony (embodied in the wildflowers). The Dragon Butterflies are power, purity, love and unique legacy. Raven symbolizes messages and blessings from the ancestors. Sparrows are love and self worth. Alicorn (winged unicorn), and the 7 point Elven Star is the magic that supports and surrounds the empowered Divine Feminine.

It is important to understand that the soft, vulnerable emotions are like a River powerful. If held down and blocked, they break the confines and cause destructive flood. Stagnant, they become toxic. And when they flow free, they nurture the shores and life flourishes. Women are the same … Let them flow free

So magical and alive.
In her womb she carries
The essence of all creation,
A universe divine.
The spiral of her journeys
Encompasses so many dimensions.
Her whisper of love so powerful,
She awakens the Masculine
Into his trajectory of action.
She is the Yin that unfolds the Yang
The empowered feminine
The Goddess within….."
