I don't think money is necessarily the primary motivation for some artists. The current social media platforms are too saturated with all sorts of people wanting to get their name out there, and many artists just want to focus on their art. It is good that you are bringing people in and I trust that the good people of Steemit will take care of the rest :)
I am one by one recruiting them on to try this platform! Lol
Kind of hard to entice them with the current disappointing price of Steem/SBD though :)
