Crossfit Tattoo - From sketch to skin

Hey there, did this one by the end of last year. A custom design for a crossfit junkie customer, i really liked this design, so it made to Steemit, hope you guys like it aswell!

First we decided a refence photo to base the pose on. (Camille Leblanc-Bazine)

Then i made a sketch of the idea i had in mind, considering the place and size of the tattoo. The red lines are the ones made for the stencil that went to the skin, sorry no picture of the stencil :( I totally forgot

Finally, when tattoing, i used a 3rl needle for all the lines, and a 5rl for some shading along with the 3rl aswell. 3 shades of grey and white for the highlights.

Here is a close-up of the details, I always try to put more detail on the skin than on the paper, the results always pay out.
