Not Quite Done - My First Oil Painting

I don't remember the last time I got my sleeves up and get things done. Since life decided to put me in slow-motion, just as an observer of things, I guess to take time and learn something. Luckily, I got really nice friend, a schooled artist, which is making sure I don't stop. Her invite to make her company while painting the gift for her parents was the one I wouldn't refuse in a million years.

Before she started to paint, she prepared hers station, and then started preparing mine. My fear of making mistakes in front of someone who knows what it's doing is huge... But she didn't care about keeping me in my comfort zone. She gave me the tools and before I could blink, I already had brushes in my hand and cardboard in front of me. Her bells-like voice chearfully saying: Paint!

...and so, I did! As I have my dog for years and not a single painting of him, you could already see what was the topic. Thanks to her, and her advices of how to paint, I made a really decent start. Now, some more waiting before I finish... I hope not a lot.
