'Measurements'
In life, sometimes, things appear to be measurable. We try to measure and weigh everything, believing that our reason is enough to reveal all of the secrets around us. But, often, just as we reach a conclusion to one secret and are ready to act upon our reasoning, several more secrets come to light. And so, the neverending exploration continues, teaching us that our measurement tools are often way too limited. This might also be the main drive behind work of many who tirelessly explore and explore, never knowing what comes next. After a solution has been found, there are several more possible paths to follow. The human mind works that way. We often don't know how to stop it, don't want to stop it or simply cannot stop it.
The image is darkened, especially at the edges. The light is coming from a soft top light creating the light area in the top right corner. Several old round measurement devices are scattered over an almost painted surface. The feeling one acquires is not very light. It is rather a heavy and mysterious one, maybe even desperate in its silent serenity. The measurement devices don't care or worry, people do. Our emotions are responsible for that, another side of the human mind.
I really like the interesting surface of the panel. Brownish-yellow, partly sepia tone colour choice makes the black and white devices stand up from the background and gives them a sort of a 'yes-no' moment, without any grey shades. And, we know very well, there is no real life without the grey areas.
Do you measure a lot or just go ahead when the feeling is right?
Enjoy! :)

lovely post. It remind me school's experiment of Physics in which we use a stop watch like this tool in the photo. Brilliant art ..
Life is so short, dont make it shorter! We should live life to its fullest by doing good to attain immesurable life in eternity ☺
I agree with you. Life is trust (read: amanah), and we Will ask about where we spend the time when we life.
Best not to measure life as being "short" or "long". When one lives life to the fullest the length doesn't matter in my opinion.
wonderful
Awesome. Great lessons from here @velimir.
That struck me.
Sometimes people need to learn to look at the obstacles in their life in the same light. They aren't there to trip you up necessarily, but instead they are there to help you achieve something beyond what you thought possible. There is always some more knowledge if you look deeper. I have found out that my only limit is me
if I had to write down what I considered realistic goals for my life 12 months ago I would have NEVER considered that I would be where I am now nor would I have imagined that it was ‘realistic’ let alone possible. I am grateful for how far i have gotten on steemit. At the beginning it was not realistic, but just like you said @velimir,
So more passion began to unfold and that is how we should take life. Life has a lot to offer to those who are patient just like @ugetfunded said. I agree with you my friend.
I believe the future holds something way more beautiful than what you might be trying to achieve. So work as much as you can in your present, using the lessons you learnt in past to achieve a future you aspire and let the results unfold! You'd be surprised how beautiful things turn out to be once you become more accepting.
And yes, there is no real life without those grey areas. Life is full of gray areas as we can never predict the result no matter how much effort we put into whatever work we do in our daily life. When we focus only on the present and don’t let our mind wander then the gray areas of life will never bother us. Only when the mind is kept idle will it not accept what is given to one as a reward for effort. Doing goods things and keeping away from all bad qualities will surely help mind stay focussed on the present and stop comparing oneself with others.
Thank you too and enjoy your day too.
These lines are gems...without a doubt the best passage I read today:
The problem with most of the humans is lack of patience. Do you agree @velimir?
Great lines. I agree!
And a few more things on top of that, my friend! ;)
Obviously but as they say, all good things happen to those who wait. So patience is the key my friend. ;)
I've spent much of my life looking at gauges like these. Some fixed, some used for diagnostic work. Temperature and pressure can both be critical at times.
I really like the picture. That is an interesting background. Gauges in their natural habitat are often in a very mechanical setting, and that is anything but. Great eye, great photo.
In our life we often try to understand all the things that surround us. I believe that any person should question many things. After all, when you doubt something - you analyze, think and approach the truth. People who blindly believe in what they are told will be "guided" and easy to control.
Research is the basis of any science and only thanks to such people we have the progress that we have.
That's for sure. After all, how can our life change if we turn off the road or say "Yes" instead of "No". There are a lot of options for the development of our life. Options for the development of society. Even the theory of parallel universes. It is interesting.
Good photo, as before.
Thank you
First of all, this image is showing both aspect of human life, the darker one and the lighter one too!
let's talk about the secret!
Our life is full of secrets!
as you said they are gonna end.
and if we talk about the soft light corner of that picture, I can relate it to our soft behavior with the other human's.
if you soft other human's you are really a great human being.
The light and dark shades of this image indeed represents the nature and reality of life. Yet, as I look at it, I think the brighter part stands out more than the dark side, revealing what has been hidden, life has so many secrets that only the future holds. The measurement devices represents the nature of US being human. Our hearts and minds could measure almost anything but not really everything. No one can measure our Life, but only the One who created it. I have a brother who loves to paint, so I find this really interesting! Thank you for sharing.
Life is short, so we have to make most out of it..
It's really very true and important, we try to measure and weigh everything. Even a happy life cannot be without a measure of darkness, and the word happy would lose its meaning if it were not balanced by sadness. It is far better take things as they come along with patience and equanimity.
The measure of who we are is what we do with what we have. The measure of success is happiness and peace of mind.
Thanks for sharing your wonderful thoughts and informative image.
