Hellhound Attack! Adventurer, Conqueror, King Art (colourised)
Here's a piece I did several years back for the Adventurer, Conqueror, King game. The version in the game is B&W but I decided to add some colour the other day just to play around. I like to use GIMP (though we have both Corel
Painter and Photoshop). I dunno, I like open source tools (I used to be a Linux/Unix sys admin many moons ago) so it is kind of hard wired into my DNA. I'm going back and adding colour to my older works just to get a bit more proficient with the tools. I've got some plans for some future projects which may include some sort of web comic or graphic novel. Enjoy and happy gaming!
@xyanthon,
What a great artwork. The king made a nice shot on HH's face! Amazing friend!
Cheers~
An interesting picture. For the game I think it's better color. Thank you for the exchange.
Beautiful drawing and your experiments with the addition of paints are very successful! Thank you @xyanthon
sick illustration!
is that a dragon in the picture
It is a Hell hound :)
okay got it thanks
Haha got smacked in the face!
Wao! I love your post! I love your art! <3
Thank you!
it's super well done
Nice one, I don't know why exactly but as soon as I read the title it reminded me of Elric's battle against hellhounds, I think one of his early battles with Rakhir. Anyway! I also used GIMP now and then, it gets the job done in most cases and I can use it at work too for some tasks.
A web comic would be a great idea, your style is very fitting for fantasy stories, if that's what you plan to do.
Thanks! Elric is definitely a favourite (if not my favourite) fantasy hero/setting. I've got some ideas for a fantasy comic/story that would be something on the order of Michael Moorcock meets Jack Kirby with a twist of Mike Mignola and a dash of Neil Gaiman. We'll see. Sequential art is a whole order of magnitude more involved than one off illustration though and I tend to get creative ADD.
Same just like you I love open source the name of the game the best and free hehe.
I love your comic graphic, I'm wondering how much time it took for you to design and develop the graphic?
Thanks! I think the original B&W piece was probably about five hours worth of work and the colour added about another three or four.
