My 2020 artworks

Hello everyone, I'm @edysly, an artist. I feel good to be here. Thanks for the encouragement on on my last post in this community, I appreciate.
I want to share some of my drawings in 2020. While looking forward for improvement in my drawing skill, I was doing the best I can then. My source of motivation was the encouragement and compliments I always received whenever I updated my work on my social media page (Facebook).

I started drawing since my primary level (education) I remembered vividly how I was always beaten by my mum for turning my subjects exercise book to drawing book. I never knew then what art was all about, just enjoyed drawing and writing stories. What intrigued me to writing stories was drawing. Illustrating every scene with funny pictures of what people were doing in the story captivated many of my classmates to reading my stories. Imagine how drawing compelled me to write stories, it helped me discovered my writing skill in my secondary education. Art is beautiful.

These were what my drawings looks like in 2020 while working for improvement. I wasn't satisfied with my energy back then and felt I should look up to other great artist works and relate too with them for guidance.

I was not so perfect with shading. Shading helps drawing or artworks looks real. I really failed in that aspect back then. I was not always patient to finish well. One of my artist friend share a secret to shading with me. He told me not to pity the pencil or cardboard whenever I'm shading. He also urged me to apply pressure to areas that needed more shadow effect etc. I didn't really put to practice immediately, but gradually got use to the guidelines.

It not easy to arrive to perfection, but with consistency, it is possible. I have so much experiences regarding my journey as an artist. Sometimes, I applied the same strategies I developed from my art world to my daily life. That is why I always say, Art is Life. More pictures from my step by step improvement in my drawing experience. I love to draw and paint, I am also a craft woman.
