The Pomegranate
36 “ x 48” oil on Canvas
My painting process ;
Step 1: Start with pencil sketch on canvas
Step 2: Start to paint outline of Pomegranate. Mix of Red and blue paint.
Step 3: Add Green to stem
Step 4: Mix yellow orange and white paint to fill in the Pulp.
Step 5: Add a background… mix of Blue and Green to contrast the Red Pomegranate

Welcome to the community and thank you for using the right hashtags and showing the process. It would be nice if you also tell a bit about how you experienced painting this, were there issues, what was the paint you used (oil paint)?
I don't believe I ever had a closer look at this fruit or consumed it.
I like the colour red. I wonder why you painted the background afterwards.
Yes. It’s acrylic paint… says in Title and in blog post.
I will add more details as you suggest.
This was a painting I made for my Grade 12 Art class.
How many years old is it by now or are you grade 13 today? I hope you will also offer something new and not post old art only because it is easy to do. Thank you for explaining.
