SILENT HAWK – ISSUE 7: PAGE 2 PROCESS

Just wanted to share Page 2 of the new issue.
This one was interesting. I wasn't sure it would look good while drawing it, but I just had to let my mind go with it and trust the process. Sometimes you just have to stop overthinking and keep moving.
Let me break down how this came together — the steps are in the GIF too.
THE PROCESS
Step 1 – Rough Drawing
Started with a messy sketch to get the pose and composition down.Kept the background simple since the focus is on Akinyi's reaction.
Step 2 – Tracing
Cleaned up the lines and defined her features.Made sure the expression matched the urgency of Jamar's report.
Step 3 – Painting & Color Variation
Blocked in the base colors first,then added shading and variation to bring her to life. Kept the background soft so the character pops.
📖 THE SCENE
Commander Akinyi is on comms with Jamar, getting an update on the missing girls:
"Jamar, status report."
"Two girls. Tomi and Fate. Last seen in the east corridor. Then nothing — except for energy fluctuations."
Energy fluctuations. That's new. The Reaper's domain is leaving traces, and Akinyi's team can sense it.
(Hmmn, I should have added a ear device now that I think but I'll leave it like that.
