Drawing a parrot.

I was participating in the contest called Art Comment Contest: Green, and I was getting really excited when it came to drawing so I decided to do another drawing, but it's better to explain it in a post, also in this post I will be explaining how I made the drawing and what inspired me to do it, don't worry, very soon I will be making the videos drawing again, the thing is that as I had told you on other occasions, the support that held the phone broke and now I am forced to make the publications through the photos of the drawing, but don't worry, very soon I will be making the videos again since I am trying to get another support, but anyway, let's begin.

Well today I woke up inspired to draw but I wanted to continue drawing some birds since the bird I drew in the contest turned out pretty well so I had the idea of drawing a parrot.

To begin, I started by drawing the sketch of the parrot's beak along with its neck and then completing the full body.

Also in this part I'm just doing the main lines which aren't very pretty but are the main bases of the drawing.

After this, I began defining and beautifying the entire body, and I also colored the beak with yellow and orange. I like to alternate colors and make combinations to make the parrot's parts look more realistic.

First of all I started coloring the body parts so that the parrot would start to look better, to color this part I used more than one type of green color which are normal green, strong green, light blue green and yellowish green all these colors made the body of the parrot look good and well defined, I also did the same in this part of the drawing I tried to alternate the colors so that the body of the parrot would look more realistic.

Finally, I added the finishing touches and shaded the most visible sides to bring the parrot to life in the drawing. I worked really hard on this drawing, and thanks to the new colors and coloring tools I have, I can now say I'm ready to start creating art.

Parrots are so special and they have a long life.
It's good to hear you have some new colouring tools.

I have some tempera but it is so different from watercolour and acrylic paint. I don't know how to use it yet (it feels as if it's meant for frescos).

A creative weekend.

🍀♥️

Thanks, friend. I'm glad you have tempera paint; it's great for drawing and looks really pretty. Have a great weekend.

Do you use it?
I can't say it's easy to mix, it looks like gyps.
Yesterday I tried watercolour at one side and on the other half tempera but so far I like watercolour more. If you have some tips, please, let me know.

Yes, I used it as a kid and loved it, but now I only draw with colored pencils. The truth is, I don't remember much about how to draw with tempera. I said it was easy because I remember drawing and having a lot of fun. But the truth is, over time I've forgotten how to use it. But don't worry, I'll do some research. I think I have friends who know how to draw with tempera. I'll ask them and let you know. Take care, friend.

It's paint. I checked a bit yesterday and officially they added pigment to eggyolk or something else. So no chemicals and it dries fast and can get spoiled. I can't say it's easier also not that it's cheaper as some info on the internet states, than acrylic paint.
It needs a different technique and it's about painting fast. I will give it a try. It's good to try out different things.

We have "fingerprint" I wondered if it's the same since it's used for toddlers but it's something completely different. Thanks for answering.

Thanks, I'm glad you're trying something new. Tempera paint varies by country. The one I'm familiar with comes in small metal bottles and is a bit runny and pasty, which is why I say it's quite easy to draw with. In my country, people often buy this tempera paint for their children to draw with. Thanks, friend. It's good to know the variety of paints and art in each country is impressive. Thanks for your support. Take care.

I'm glad you're still creating art, despite your failing phone. I like the parrot; it's impressive, and it seems to be very talkative.

Thanks, I'll keep creating art whenever I can. I'm glad you liked the parrot drawing.
