Digital Art | Mahadh, The Unpredictable Power of Magic
Good evening, my dear #Steemit readers. I hope you are all doing well. Here's another opportunity from your friend Manuel, who is very happy to bring you a new artistic post for my blog. This time, I wanted to illustrate a young sorcerer named Mahadh. From a very young age, Mahadh was raised in a temple under the tutelage of his grandfather, who taught him everything he knew about magic and sorcery. But what his grandfather didn't know was that Mahadh is a very special and unique kind of wizard, someone who is born once every hundred years, a person capable of channeling magical energy through his body and casting it through his fingers without the need for a wand or spells, something that only a few have managed to do throughout history... I hope you like the idea of this character, and here I will show you a little of the process from the beginning:
Feliz noches mis queridos lectores de #Steemit , espero que se encuentren muy bien, por aquí los saluda una nueva oportunidad su amigo Manuel super feliz de poder traerles un nuevo post artístico para mi blog. En esta ocasión quise ilustrar a una especie de joven hechicero llamado (Mahadh); Resulta que desde muy muy pequeño (Mahadh) fue criado en un templo bajo la tutela de su abuelo, el le enseño todo lo que sabia sobre la magia y la hechicería, pero lo que su abuelo no sabía era que (Mahadh) es una especie mago muy especial y único, alguien que nace 1 vez cada cientos de años, una persona capaz de canalizar la energía mágica atreves de su cuerpo y lanzarla a través de sus dedos sin necesidad de una varita o conjuros, algo que solo unos poco han logrado hacer a lo largo de la historia…espero les guste la idea de este personaje y aquí les mostrare un poco del proceso desde el inicio:
PROCESS / PROCESO
To begin my work, I started drawing (Mahadh). In this case, my idea was for this character to have a fairly young appearance, but at the same time quite distinctive. I drew him in a pose as if he were raising his arms to use his powers. I also drew him with long hair and a slightly smiling, happy expression, reflecting the great power he possesses. Once the sketch was ready, I was able to focus on the process of coloring my character. I started with a base of very light violet tones to give this character a slightly more unique touch. As usual, I began by working on the skin with watercolors and soft strokes, trying to define the features of the fingers, nose, and eyelids a little, and, of course, adding shadows and highlights to make it more realistic.
Para empezar con mi obra empecé a dibujar a (Mahadh), en este caso mi idea era que este personaje tuviese una apariencia bastante joven, pero al mismo tiempo bastante particular, lo dibuje en una pose como si se encontrar elevando sus brazos para usar sus poderes, también lo dibuje con una cabellera larga y una expresión un poco sonriente y feliz del gran poder que posee. Una vez el boceto quedo listo pude centrarme en lo que seria el proceso de coloreado de mi personaje, empecé con una base de tonos violeta muy claros para darle un toque un poco mas único a este personaje, como de costumbre empecé trabajando la piel con el acuarela con trazos suaves, tratando de definir un poco las facciones de los dedos, nariz, parpados, y por supuesto colocando las sombras y luces que dieran mejor realismo.
For the eyes, I wanted to create a look that was quite distinctive and striking. In this case, I used a few shades of purple as a base, gradually moving towards darker tones, and to give it a slightly more unique touch, I decided not to paint the irises or pupils, just highlights and shadows. For the hair, I used pink tones to create a long, straight hairstyle combed back. Here, I wanted to work with long watercolor strokes to create thick strands, and then strokes with my 3-point brush to achieve a little more relief and realism.
Para el apartado de los ojos quise trabajar en una mirada que se viese bastante particular y llamativa, en este caso usé como base unos cuantos tonos morados escalando hacia los tonos oscuros, y para darle un toque un poco mas único se me ocurrió no pintar iris y ni pupilas, solo brillos y sombras. Para el pintado del cabello usé tonos rosados para crear un peinado largo y liso, pero peinado hacia atrás, aquí quise trabajar con trazos largos de acuarela para crear los mechones gruesos, y luego trazos de mi pincel de 3 puntas para logar un poco mas de relieve y realismo.
In the case of clothing, I wanted (Mahadh) to wear a more warrior-style outfit, so I chose three shades between fuchsia and pink to create a slightly loose-fitting, long-sleeved suit. Here I used watercolors and an airbrush for a softer texture. Then, on the fabric, I created a second outfit that was a little more rigid and metallic. For this, I used slightly more coppery tones, trying to work well with the characteristic shine of metal, which I also used to create protectors on the forearms and waist. Finally, I wanted to represent the magical powers of the character (Mahadh), and to achieve this, I took red tones and created an effect like waves of energy coming out from between (Mahadh)'s fingers and stretched them a little to the sides, then used the airbrush to lighten everything up a bit.
En el caso de la ropa quise que (Mahadh) llevase un atuendo como con un estilo mas de guerrero, para ello tome unos 3 tonos entre fucsia y rosado para crear un traje un poco holgado de mangas largas, aquí use acuarela y aerógrafo para una textura más suave; luego sobre la tela cree una especie de 2do atuendo un poco mas rígido y metálico, para ello ocupe tonos un poco más cobrizos tratando de trabajar bien los brillos característicos del metal, los cuales también use para crea protectores en los antebrazos y la cintura. Finalmente quise representar los poderes mágicos del personaje de (Mahadh), y para lograr esto tomé tonos rojos y fui creando un efecto como de ondas de energía saliendo de entre los dedos de (Mahadh) y los fui estirando un poco hacia los lados, luego use el aerógrafo para iluminar un poco todo.
