A still life drawing with soft pastel.

For a while now I've wish to draw with pastel, Luckily for me a friend of main was willing to borrow me, I felt so happy I was able to create a piece with pastel.
To be honest after I collected the pastel I didn't know what to draw, but later I decided to draw something simple which is a bowl of grapes.
So guys let me share with you how I drew this piece.
I took my A4 sketchbook and sketch the bowl and that grapes.

Then I started coloring the bowl with brown, followed by green, lemon, and white, each colors on the bowl are different tones to make to bowl look alive.

After few minutes of coloring the bowl, I colored the grapes, with different shades of green, black, yellow, and white, before starting with this drawing I felt I couldn't do it untill I started, and to my surprise I enjoyed every part of it, apart from using my hand for most of the blending especially the background which messed my hand up a little.

Coloring the background and the table was the best feeling, I applied the colors and blended it with my finger.

It's a long time ago I used soft pastels like you I like the blending. The background and table look nice. Will you use it more frequently now you tried it?
I think I will use it more, thank you so much, so sorry for the late response.
It's fine, I am not the most fast person around either, too much work to do.
