Family Emergency Pastels On Location
Grabbing a Puking Fish
I am keeping to my regimen of three paintings a day while on an unholiday in a family emergency crisis. I am using oil pastels in place of paint, and work on and off throughout the day while butlering for my patient, who is in need of 24 hour care after a grueling U.S. hospital stay. I miss my painting in the studio, but I'll be back in a couple weeks to enjoy my favorite season along the shores of Lake Ontario.

Sorry, to hear about the crisis but is good you still find time to continue the painting. The titles are a bit different, though you still work colourful.

Thank you. It is a long road to recovery and I am missing home more than ever. But I'm here to nurse and help, so that I will.
The titles are always my favorite part:)
I use Krylon fixative. It works very well, however the heat and humidity is too intense down here, so I have to wait for a weather break to spray. I keep them in divder folders for the time being.

Thanks for showing and making the fixative. I saw a video where different fixatives were shown besides of the spray. Here only Sennelier was available and now again not.
I assume a piece of baking paper between the sheets will also do the trick. I still have a canvas with a thick layer of oil pastel. That will not dry quickly. Perhaps I should move it too the attic.
