Oil Paint - Tree
What shall I paint, I asked the paintress teaching us.
Just do something she said.
All that came to mind was the green background I recently made. I used the plastic pot with tubes and most of them I couldn't open. The paint was hard, or felt soft but if the lidrefuses to get off...
Only 3 small tubes I managed to open and... I put dots of oaint straight out of the tube on the canvas paper meant for oil paint which she gave me (it was the very last one).
That's not how you should do it, she shouted as she saw what I did, this is how you work with acrylics.
So what, I said, I want to do it my way.
Gerda grinned, she's 83l2, and the teacher replied: Another stubborn artist. Welk, exceot when you create something good I allow it.
Allow? It's already on the paper and no one goes for oilpaint anyway plus I just gave her my soft pastel portrait which means she can show rwo of the drawings made by her students. LOL
It rook me a bit more as one hour to finish it.
Today I had to finish it since next week we go paint pingpong balls 🤐
I decided for a tree. This time I noticed there was more oil paint and I decided to use this one. Same story most were hard to open so my colours were limited.
I used: Marie's oil colour (AliExpress?)
raw sienna
viriedan (green) and
scarlet (red) to fix the backgeound.
I tried to remove the hairsof the brush again 😕 and left the painting behind. I assume it will be dry next week so the teacher can take it home and frame them (funny expression).
I found her some frames at the give away shop so everyone happy I guess.
And before you ask: my walls are mainly empty and yes oil paint smells and you can clean your hands with the same oil you use in the kitchen.

Material: very old tubes of oilpaint (4 colours), 1 brush Van Bleiswijck flat 11 oil to save the brush in and clean my hand, 1 sheet oil paint canvas paper ( no idea what type of).

我喜欢铅笔画，但我不擅长素描，所以画画时就随心所欲。我没有太多颜料，就用了现有的三种。我在纸上点上小点油画颜料，然后随意涂抹开来。其实和用丙烯颜料画画差不多。这周我琢磨着还该加点什么，于是就画了那棵树。可惜课程时间不长，时间有限，在颜色方面也没有太多选择。我觉得你的画作非常棒。我认为用铅笔表现不同的色彩层次要困难得多。谢谢你让我看到这幅画

I have no clue. I was limited if it came to the paint. I wasn't able to open the tubes of most colours. Everything turns out to be old and stuk and hard. Better don't ask what my place looked like as I tried to open one old tube at home with some ... ahum.. power.. now I have 3 black panels (a bit too much black) which I stored in the basement because of the smell.
Tomorrow I will see if I manage to open another tube (I had to break the black into two pieces).
I like it hot so let's go for the burning tree!

There are trees we like to believe they are deadand if (lazy me) doesn't remove them immidately and has a good chat the tree start to bloom again.
I guess Mother Nature knows best and I thought nothing while painting this except how to finish it within an hour.
My black voids stink but at least I could unscrew most tubes after their hot bath (and could throw 3 new brushes away).

Have you noticed that several of your paintings are related to trees, leaves, well, that's what I've seen
LOL it's easy to paint, they get old and are the start of everything. I am not good at planting a tree though (we did that with school, it's a yearly event. Most likely my tree been cut years ago. Fooled by the government).
