Quick Pencil Sketch – Clothespins Challenge

Hello everyone 🤍
I’m new here in steem and it’s 2nd post for me in Art&Artists. I’m Yaser Saoudy, from Egypt.
In my introduction post, I told you that I love challenges and exploring new artistic approaches. Today, I want to share with you a quick sketch I did of clothespins.
It may sound funny at first, but for me this was a challenge to find beauty and spirit in something very ordinary. Objects like these don’t move or talk, but they play a big role in our daily lives. so i tried to draw it emotionally 🥺🦋
For this sketch, I avoided starting with outlines. Instead, I began by blocking tonal areas (shadows & halftones)– in the final stage made quick details . It was a fast sketching process about 15 minutes , to test myself and enjoy the flow.

🎥 ▶️ Watch the video on 3speak Vidoe duration: * 50 Seconds*

The huge challenge was for that i have long time didn’t draw or paint 😔 so it was the best way to force my self in order to back again 🙏🏼💪🏼

Here the real photo
I encourage everyone here to try similar quick challenges – you’ll be surprised how much beauty you can discover in the simplest objects around you. 💪🏼❤️

Sort:

It all looks like a comma followed by a continuation of the story))
It's realistic and mysterious. I see how the third clothespin wants to leave his place of detention))

Yes, you're right))) it's our way to tell story.
Sometimes I look at the birds in the cage and I want them to escape

It's a good way, it doesn't impose anything on anyone. And at the same time, each viewer will have their own story)

Exactly for that every Human has his own fingerprint))

An interesting association with the print))

Yes )) and I’m waiting for the time that you told me, you printed the photos and I’ll make exhibition ))

I have to tell you... I haven't printed any photos for exhibitions yet...)))
All my works exist as a set of numbers and letters in files. Your words have puzzled me with a new experience. I think I'll think about it more seriously than usual.🤣 😂😅🍄

I searched for some pictures from exhibations to make an example for you then go head! 😂😂

"Egypt Ninety Years Ago"
At the Goethe-Institut’s cultural center in Downtown Cairo, the exhibition “L’EGYPTE” by Swiss photographer Fred Boissonnas was inaugurated under the patronage of the Swiss Embassy. The exhibition showcases distinguished works by Boissonnas, shedding light on Egypt during the reign of King Fuad I.

Photography Exhibition “Tohoku Through the Eyes of Japanese Photographers”
The photography exhibition “Tohoku – Through the Eyes of Japanese Photographers” has been touring the world under the patronage of the Japan Foundation since March 2012, beginning in Beijing, China, and later in Rome, Italy. The exhibition, which I personally sponsor, features around 120 photographs by 19 different photographers. Together, these images provide a comprehensive perspective on the Tohoku region in terms of place, history, landscapes, folk traditions, and daily life in that remarkable area located in the northeast of Honshu, the largest island of Japan.

Aslamuallaykom ya @sadaf02 ! how are you?

I hope you can watch this video and see the way how can we draw sketch! I know this is an advanced way of drawing, but there is no problem to watch it and learn many ways. During the learning phase, we need to use our hands, eyes, ears, and even our minds.

Have a nice time!

WalaikumSalam! I am feeling fantastic, Alhamdulillah ! What about you?
  • I've watched your video. I am blown away by your exceptional drawing skills. The way you have brought the piece to life with shading is truly remarkable. I am still trying to figure out how you did the shading, though. I didn't get it. I am still trying to understand the techniques you used. You are a gifted artist and it is clear that your talent is Allah-given.

You say it was easy for you and that it only took you 15 minutes. I wish I could draw like that, my friend! 😂

I liked the spirit of the challenge, "finding beauty in the ordinary." I identify with that.

A work in which you share various multimedia elements, including a video of the execution.

Did you know that on Steemit we now have our own video platform?
I invite you to check it out and feel free to submit your creations there. Here are a couple of links about it:

Oh i was shy i felt it took long time😅Really I'm so happy to hear that from you my friend @joslud❤️

what is your opinion,I’m actually planning to make a post soon about how I practiced to draw faster, and some exercises that really helped me improve. Maybe it can be useful for others too

I really appreciate that you connected with the idea of “finding beauty in the ordinary” — that means a lot 🙏

wow it's awesome, sure I'd love to join in it ❤️ do you think i can re-upload the same video on our platfor then edit the post?

So who knows… maybe one day I’ll be fast enough to draw while drinking coffee at the same time with the same hand ☕😂

I can't see any photos, so I will come back later. I remember how, during my childhood, it was very popular to build things out of clothespins (we call them laundry pins).
Entire houses, rocking chairs, and so on were built (glued) out of them.

Keep in mind that double posting isn't liked on both platforms you post.

Oh, that sounds really cool! I can imagine how fun it must have been building chairs and houses from clothespins))) The best time is the childrenhood time i miss it. thanks for sharing that memory. <3

Do you mean in Hive and steemit? yes i posted the same there too 🫢 i didn't know it's forbidden.I’ll make sure to be more careful next time 🙏 I really appreciate your advice)

Nothing is forbidden but downvotes can be the result in Hive and Steem Curators can officially not upvote.

It seems they still do it

aha i understood! what should i do right now, remove it from Hive or keep it ?and later don't post the same again.

It looks awsemoe , i didn't make it before. I like it <3

I would leave it the way it but hey, that's me. Try to keep it separate and don't use the hashtag #steemexclusive if you double post.

Thanks for your patience and the explanation! I understand now. I’ll keep the post as it is on Hive , maybe edit it . and avoid reposting the same content in the future. Appreciate your help 🙏🏼❤️

Welcome to the community, the true space for artists. You'll find not only art, but also like-minded people with whom to share your full potential.
I enjoyed this drawing, besides a concept that is no less than enviable and with a perspective of practical progress and intuition. It's always part of every artist's improvement plan. The challenges in art.
But you should also include several images of your creative process. You can tell us more about your experience and feelings about each step you consider. It's always a pleasure to meet the artist and their work.
You can tell us about the materials used, brand, quantity, and time. This could help other creators along the way and further humanize your work.
Use our community hashtag (#artonsteemit) to give it a better focus.
And don't forget to comment on what other creators are doing and sharing.
Good luck.
