I seen myself being Elaine when I was only 12.. I started my first job and worked there til I was 17. I missed out on a lot of friend time but being able to stay busy sure did help my mind back then. (I had just lost my dad a year before.) Plus I didn't have to rely on my mom for clothes for school which made me super excited! Loved this story. You are a great story teller/writer.
