The planet No. 9 - a miracle of Solar system
At the end of January, 2016 astronomers Mike Brown and Konstantin Batygin from California Institute of Technology in Pasadena (USA) have reported about opening... new planet of Solar system! And it was not some dwarfish object, like Pluto or Ceres, and the full-fledged planet of the size of the Neptune and weight ten times bigger than Earth.

Opening of new planets in Solar system concerned mankind as didn't concern, perhaps, any event. The astronomy in the Ancient world was one of the major sciences therefore it is no wonder that our ancestors have accumulated a large amount of knowledge of planetology, In Particular, on clay tablets of library of the Assyrian tsar Ashshurbanipal in Nineveh all nine planets and a star of Solar system are described: The sun - Apsu, "existing from the very beginning"; Mercury - to Mumm, "the adviser and Apsu's envoy"; Venus - to Lakham, "the maiden of wars"; Earth - Tiamat, "the maiden giving life"; Mars - to Lakhm, "god of war"; Jupiter - Kishar, "the first of firm lands"; Saturn - Anshar, "the first in heaven"; Pluto - the Eider, "the adviser and envoy Anshara"; Uranium - Ana, "the one who in heaven"; The Neptune is Nudimud (Эа), "the talented creator".
Since then there have passed years, centuries and the millennia, so far, at last, all planets of Solar system haven't been discovered, opening are experimentally confirmed, and one planet (Pluto) has even lost the status and became dwarfish. However disputes and search of new planets don't cease still. So, after discovery in 1930 of Pluto scientists have started search of the planet following on the account. The calculations of the American astronomers which are carried out in 1961 have shown that beyond Pluto there has to be one more planet called by them Proserpine (not to confuse with an asteroid Proserpine, opened in 1853 and rotating in the main belt of asteroids between Mars and Jupiter). According to calculations, the cycle time of Proserpine is 623-2850 years, distance to the Sun - 67,5 astronomical units, weight - are 162 times more than the mass of Earth, and diameter - in 1,5 more than diameters of Earth. However Proserpine has very small star size that complicates her visual detection.
That once in Solar system there was one more planet - the Phaeton, - also the German astronomer Heinrich Olbers in 1804 said. However, he considered that presently the Phaeton because of accident has already turned into a cloud of asteroids in which Proserpine - that which an asteroid rotates (perhaps, by the way, being a part of the Phaeton). However some researchers consider that the Phaeton hasn't collapsed, and just has a cycle time around him in 2800 and very big eccentricity (that is very extended orbit form), equal 0,98: in a perihelion the planet approaches the Sun on 2,7 astronomical units, and in an afeliya is removed approximately on 400 astronomical units.
At last, in 1928 the American astronomer William Pickering, analyzing data about the afeliyakh of comets, I have assumed that in the direction to the constellation of Aquarius there is a certain object called by him "the planet of S" (after this planet have given other name - Miliusa - in honor of the first icon of the Virgin which was brought from Greece at the Christianization of Kievan Rus'). As appears from mathematical model, Miliusa has very extended elliptic orbit, is in 120 astronomical units from the Sun and does a whole revolution around him for 1400. By the way, here it is possible to draw an interesting parallel with a cycle of the Egyptian calendar "Year of Life" which has been accepted in the 14th century B.C. and I equaled 1461.
Opening of year
But we will return to our opening of year. Already now it is known that the svezheotkryty planet No. 9 rotates around the Sun on very extended orbit (which besides it is inclined concerning Earth orbit plane) with the period of 15 thousand years. On the chemical composition she reminds gas giants of the Neptune and Uranium, that is consists of gas and ice. According to pioneers, 4,5 billion years ago the planet has been beaten out from a protoplanetary disk near the Sun.
The maximum removal of the new planet from the Sun makes 600-1200 astronomical units (for comparison, the radius of an orbit of the eighth planet of Solar system - the Neptune - is 60 astronomical units). About the minimum distance of opinion at the time of writing of article were contradictory: the Science News edition reports about 200 astronomical units though the chart of an orbit with reference to NASA shows that once in 15 thousand years the ninth planet flies deeply in Solar system, crosses an orbit of Saturn and comes very close to an orbit of Jupiter.
In the work Mike Brown and Konstantin Batygin used observation of the candidate for the dwarf planets, the trans-Neptunian object 2012 VP113 executed by Chadwick Trujillo and Scott Sheppard in 2014. The perihelion argument (the size defining orientation of an orbit of a celestial body in the orbit plane) of many orbits found these scientists in the Kuiper belt (area of Solar system from the Neptune's orbit (30 astronomical units from the Sun) to distance about 55 astronomical units from the Sun) has shown that they "watch" approximately in the same direction as though something has forced them to obtain such configuration in space. It has suggested an idea that it is possible to calculate "troublemaker" - an orbit of the ninth planet, as has been made.
As for satellites of the new planet, Konstantin Batygin doesn't exclude their existence and detection. However, he makes a reservation, at such distance it will be very difficult to consider them in the telescope.
May we find other planets in Solar system: the tenth, eleventh and so on? Batygin doesn't see for this purpose obstacles:
- In principle, the Solar system is huge, the gravitational field of the Sun dominates very far: the dominant comes to an end somewhere after 100 thousand astronomical units, and we see small objects in the Kuiper belt at distance of at most 80 astronomical units. Unknown remain still huge space.
Waiting for a miracle
It should be noted that pioneers carry 0,007% that they were mistaken and the analysis of data on the rendered gravitational indignation on other celestial bodies has been interpreted by the new planet mistakenly. Business now - to watch the planet in the telescope small what time in Subaru observatory in Hawaii has been reserved for. However, an object still has to fly in a zone of the review of the telescope then it will be possible to be engaged in his search. By estimates of astronomers, it will be possible to observe the planet No. 9 only in five years, and determination of her location will take 2-3 more years. However, reasons for optimism are: in 1846 Urban Leverye applied similar mathematical models which have led to opening of the Neptune whose existence was confirmed for one night of observations. Mike Brown and Konstantin Batygin used supercomputers for calculation more difficult, so, and more exact model.
So we need only to wait when the theoretical model turns into the real ninth planet of Solar system.
