Wisdom & life in the gospel: I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. John 10:18

In the Gospel of John, some of Jesus' teachings about himself are directly related to the seven "I am" statements. Jesus presented himself in a few or many words in an elusive way throughout the Gospels, and understanding the body of his teachings is difficult to grasp spiritually.
And one of the most interesting spiritual expressions in the Gospel of John, related to the "I am" statements, is the concept of life as taught by the divine teacher. When Jesus taught about life, he could be referring to either the spiritual life, which is the contemplative life, or the physical life; life as a concept does not have a single meaning in the doctrine of master Jesus, understanding life as a perfection or gift from the creator of all things.
And while probably in the city of Jerusalem, after having healed a man born blind, Jesus presented himself as the good shepherd to his listeners, and then prophesied his death and resurrection in the cross, implying that he had to die for the sins of humanity, and he did so with these wise words: "The reason my Father loves me is that I lay down my life—only to take it up again. No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from my Father" John 10:17-18.
By explaining this, Jesus also foreshadowed the resurrection of his friend Lazarus, and a more fundamental statement: "I am the resurrection and the life" John 11:25. With this spiritual teaching, Jesus clarified that the power of life was in him, to fulfill a fundamental mission: to make a humanity given over to sin understand that he is God made "son of man."
In this way, life then acquires a fundamental value in the Christian faith and the doctrine of the kingdom; God is a God of the living and not of the dead. Understanding this, one can then understand a concept: life is inextricably linked to wisdom, that is, to the word of God, and whoever seeks one thing also finds the other and vice versa. To love life then is also to love Jesus and God, a love that liberates men and makes them brothers of Jesus and children of God.
