RE: Human Behavior On Autism Child?

in #autism6 years ago

It's always important to treat them as if they are normal by teaching them how to be able to live on their own, teach them how to cook. clean, count money, read and write. follow directions, and mist definitely on how to take care of themselves, teach them whats right and wrong, and not to be afraid to tell someone if they feel like they've been violated, teach them how to used the phone and how to dial 911, teach them how to used a washer and dryer and how much detergent and bleach to use, take them to the grocery store with a calculator, with a set amount of money and say we have to do enough shopping for a week and this is how much we have to spend, so we have to get 7 days worth of food and what necessities we need. That's what we did when we worked at Rosemary Center in Cleveland, Ohio
