Mazda MX-5 30 Anniversary: 184 CV, with Bilstein, Recaro and orange seats

There is No doubt that the Mazda MX-5, also known as Miata, is one of the most beloved cars on the market. The best proof of this is that it is the most sold roadster in the world. In this year 2019 celebrates its thirtieth anniversary-which is said soon-and the mark of Hiroshima wants to celebrate it in a high.

The first MX-5 was publicly disclosed at the 1989 Chicago Motor Show. Now, 30 years later, this same scenario has been chosen for the Japanese firm to present a special edition as a homage of which only 3,000 units will be produced for the whole world, of which 50 will arrive in Spain. So is the Mazda MX-5 30 anniversary.

The Japanese brand has not wanted to complicate too much looking for a clearly differentiated aesthetics based on design, but rather has tried to make changes that really increase the attention to the potential customer of a Miata. I mean improvement in equipment and, of course, behaviour; Although they have also put their touch on the exterior esthetics.

The Mazda MX-5 30 anniversary is available both with a retractable hard-roof (RF) body and a canvas roofing (ST) version.

The first thing that draws the attention of the Mazda MX-5 30 anniversary is the color. We are accustomed to the majority of models presented by the company debut with the famous "Soul Red", and we can not deny that the "Racing Orange" that saw this limited edition has hit us. Curiosities aside, the 17-inch Ray forged wheels are also interesting.

Following the specific equipment of the Miata 30 anniversary, it is worth mentioning the orange-colored Brembo front tweezers, or the Nissin backs in the same colour. A plate with the unit number of this edition is found on the fin.

The mechanics chosen is the 2.0 Skyactiv-G propeller of 184 CV presented a few months ago associated with a six-gear manual gearbox. The most notable point with respect to its technical part, in addition to the front Brembo brakes and rear Nissin, are the Bilstein shock absorbers which, although already equipped in some versions of the Japanese roadster, is an interesting element.
