I like using weighted lines (though mine tend to vary a lot in the same line, not as neat as yours). Seems to help give it that extra depth and shape, even when it's just lines :)
I'm a huge fan of lines and usually spend a lot of time going over a drawing with different line weights. Totally useful for depth and light and all sorts of stuff!
