Barn Renovations - Bricking & Mortaring Foundation Window
An old window for the barn basement:
Possums and other creatures would climb through it:
Let's lay some big boulders down and mortar them in:
Make sure the bricks are level:
Keep adding rows of bricks with mortar:
Line the window hole up with the rest of the foundation:
No more possums can get in:
The window hole is gone:
It is not quite even on the outside but it is plenty sturdy:

lot of work to do
Good work. This brings back some memories. I was raised in an old stone house and I remember whitewashing the stone in the basement one summer.
Friend @ money-dreamer, a first-class finish, congratulations, greetings
Good job, the finish is excellent, greetings @money-dreamer

Good job there, it looks pretty even to me from the outside and it will be one of those things that only you notice. I find that when doing projects, most of the time there are little things you notice that noone else ever does. Keep up the good work and love seeing updates. I can’t wait to start on my project and give some updates in the not to distant future :)
wao goes great work, hehe nice pet.
Hey buddy, did you do a waterproof job? It is to brush a layer of basic protection on the basic surface of the paint, and the outer layer is brushed again with waterproof and anti-oxidant paint. Will the wood be easily spoiled? I don't know what material you use and the quality standards of your country, but if you fix the facade, I suggest you do a waterproof reinforcement at the root of the wall to a height of 0.8m, the material is cheap, and you cement the outer wall of the cement Before covering the exposed surface, then do the final smoothing
Thanks for the advice. I will look into adding some waterproofing to the exterior of the foundation.
