Inklusi Coffee, one of the business units at Rumah Kreatif Tamiang, fostered by Pertamina EP Rantau Field.

THE aroma of coffee on the left and the aroma of oil on the right. That's the combination that greets the tip of your nose when you set foot in Rumah Kreatif Tamiang on the edge of Jalan Medan-Banda Aceh, Karang Baru District, Aceh Tamiang. The sound of brewing water mingles with the clink of spoons against cups, punctuated by the occasional roar of motorcycles on the right. Both harmonies are muted by the presence of the Ajang Ambe Gallery, which flanks the cafe and workshop.

Inklusi Coffee is one of the business units at Rumah Kreatif Tamiang, located in Aceh Tamiang Regency. Rumah Kreatif Tamiang is a corporate social responsibility (CSR) program of Pertamina EP Rantau Field. Established in 2021, Inklusi Coffee is now self-sufficient.

According to Baskoro Adhi Pratomo, Community Involvement and Development Officer for Zone 1 of Pertamina EP Rantau Field, Inklusi Coffee has provided a decent income for its beneficiaries, namely people with disabilities, just like the workshop also located at Rumah Kreatif Tamiang.

Inklusi Coffee is located on the right side of Tamiang Creative House. Visitors can enjoy coffee and a variety of other beverages on the front balcony, terrace, inside, or on the second floor while watching the traffic on Jalan Medan-Banda Aceh pass by.

A comfortable place to have coffee.

In the center, there's the Ajang Ambe gallery, which displays the creative work of micro, small, and medium-sized businesses in Aceh Tamiang Regency. On the far right, there's a workshop staffed entirely by people with disabilities (around six mechanics). Some of them have been working there since 2021, since the inception of Rumah Kreatif Tamiang.

So, visitors to Inklusi Coffee can be MSME buyers at the gallery or customers bringing their motorcycles to the workshop for servicing. They can enjoy a variety of drinks and food at Inklusi Coffee while waiting for their motorcycles to be serviced.

One of the disabled workers at Inklusi Coffee is Muhammad Yasir, a deaf person who used to work as a janitor at a school. Due to his limitations, Yasir found it difficult to find more suitable employment. However, since 2021, he has been working at Inklusi Coffee.

Journalists listened to the Pertamina EP Rantau Field CSR program at Rumah Kreatif Tamiang.

As reported in the media, Yasir worked with people without disabilities, which boosted his confidence in developing his skills as a barista. The barista position provided Yasir with the opportunity to earn more money. "My parents are very happy, I can find work," Yasir said, smiling through signs conveyed to a translator.

Inklusi Cafe has a special place in Aceh Tamiang. After being designed by the Rantau Field team, the disabled staff there have experienced no difficulty serving customers. Customers are made to adapt using technology. "Some customers were confused, but they were told how to order, unlike other places," Yasir said.

When attending an invitation from Pertamina EP Rantau Field, I deliberately tried Sanger coffee to compare it with the taste at my regular cafe in Lhokseumawe. Hmm, it was quite delicious. The aroma was strong and lingered in my nose.

The choice to hang out at Inklusi Coffee wasn't just for the delicious coffee, but also for its inclusion of people with disabilities, a support for equality.

The prices for drinks and food at Inklusi Coffee are also very affordable. A cup of sanger, for example, costs only IDR 10,000 or 7 #steem on November 2, 2025.

One issue at Inklusi Coffee is limited parking. Customers can park safely in front of the shop or on the side of the road. However, when there are lots of customers, customers have to park further away. As a form of support for people with disabilities, this is certainly not a significant obstacle.
