I am interested in taking part in Contest Map Story #24 posted by @miftahulrizky. And I prepared my time, energy, thoughts and all my abilities to take part in this contest, including by searching for materials and editing the script and photos carefully.

As I said in the @steem-atlas meetup, the longest time I spend making Steem Atlas posts is for editing photos and finding the correct coordinates.

I show tourism in the Old City of Jakarta which is located in West Jakarta, Indonesia. I no longer remember how many times I've visited Kota Tua, maybe around 5-6 times. Finally, I visited in 2023. It's been quite a while and I want to visit again if I have a trip to Jakarta.

The area of ​​the Old City of Jakarta is around 1.3 square kilometers. So, if the coordinates are slightly different from other people's posts, that's normal.

There are many roads to the Old City of Jakarta. My friends and I took an online taxi from the Millennium Hotel to Kota for around IDR 60,000 or the equivalent of 50 #steem at the price when this post was made. Remember, there is currently a crash in all types of cryptocurrency. So, #steem could rise again later, the price could be cheaper with #steem.

Apart from taxis, you can also take the KRL Communiter Line, the MRT, or TransJakarta, all of which are cheaper.

In Kota Tua, there are 12 tourist destinations. There is no charge to enter the Old City, but to enter the museum there, you have to pay and it is very cheap, only around 4 #steem.
The 12 tourist destinations in the Old City of Jakarta are:

1. Jakarta History Museum: I will make a post about this because I have been there several times.
2. Puppet Museum: I just passed in front of the building without ever entering, or don't remember whether I had entered the museum or not.
3. Toko Merah: This is the former residence of the Governor General of Batavia City (the former name of Jakarta). Now this place has become the Batavia Cafe and I have been there before.
4. Old Town Canal which is right across from Toko Merah.
5. Bank Indonesia Museum.
6. Museum of Fine Arts and Ceramics.
7. Bank Mandiri Museum.
8. Old Town Post Office which has existed since the VOC era in 1746.
9. Sunda Kelapa Harbor which has existed since the time of the Pajajaran Kingdom.
10. Syahbandar Tower which was once part of Culemborg Fort.
11. Café Batavia.
12. Jakarta Maritime Museum which was once a Dutch spice storage warehouse.

Well, there are lots of places to visit in the Old City of Jakarta. So, one day or one visit there is not enough.

The last time we visited there, we sat down to discuss at Café Jakarta. I took the time to wander around Fatahillah Park visiting several other destinations.

So, while at Fatahillah Park, I was interviewed by several students who were researching visitors there. One of the questions was, why did I visit Kota Tua and how many times have I been there.

I said, I went to Kota Tua because I had an agenda to enjoy Kota Tua with a number of journalists. Second, I am from Aceh and the history of the founding of the City of Jakarta cannot be separated from Aceh.

According to several references, the city of Jakarta was founded by Fatahillah, who was born in Aceh before going to Mecca to study Islam. Then, Fatahillah went to Demak to become a warlord. He was the one who took Sunda Kelapa from the Portuguese.

So, Acehnese have to go to Kota Tua and see traces of Acehnese there.
