The Dairy Game : A Day That Tested My Patience. 18th, July, 2026
Hi everyone, it's yours truly @joken I hope you're all doing well.
I am happy to share how my Saturday went.
It was a day filled with unexpected challenges, but I'm grateful that everything ended on a good note.
I woke up in the morning, said a short prayer, and thanked God for the gift of a new day. After my prayer, I went to the kitchen, warmed some water, and drank it before starting my daily activities.
Since it was Saturday and everyone in the family was at home, I decided to prepare akara (bean cake) for breakfast. I brought out the beans, washed them, and got everything ready for blending. I was confident that breakfast would be ready in no time.
To my surprise, my blender refused to blend the beans. I tried several times, hoping it would start working, but nothing changed. I became frustrated because I had already planned the meal, and I really wanted my family to enjoy akara that morning.

Instead of giving up, I packed the washed beans and took them to a nearby commercial grinding shop. After paying for the service, the beans were blended successfully. I returned home, mixed the ingredients, and fried the akara until it was golden brown.

Seeing everyone enjoy the breakfast made all the stress worthwhile, and I was happy I didn't allow the setback to stop me.

Later in the day, I planned to prepare white rice and egg sauce for dinner. However, another challenge came up.
Our compound borehole had developed a fault the previous day, and technicians had been working to repair it. We had hoped it would be fixed today, but unfortunately, that wasn't the case.
Thankfully, we have a covered well in our compound with clean water that is rarely used.

We opened it and fetched water for cooking and other household chores while keeping our drinking water separate.
The well water was a great help, and I was able to prepare the white rice and egg sauce without any difficulty.

Dinner came out delicious, and everyone enjoyed it. Looking back on the day, I realized that although I faced moments of frustration with the faulty blender and the lack of borehole water, every problem had a solution.
I ended the day with a grateful heart, thanking God for His grace and provision.
Sometimes, things don't go according to our plans, but with patience, determination, and God's help, we can overcome the little challenges that come our way.
Thank you for reading my diary. I wish you all a peaceful and blessed weekend.
Best Regards,
@joken
