Adina Mura, Comilla

Adina Mura or Adina Sharif is the name of a hillock on Lalmai Hill, fifteen kilometers from Comilla city. This place is located on Lalmai Hill, about a hundred feet above the ground. There is a shrine of a Muslim community here. I have heard the name of this shrine since childhood. A Pir Shah Kamal from Yemen came here in ancient times to preach the Yemeni religion. Since childhood, I have heard that some miraculous events have happened here, such as "Madina can be seen from Adina". It took me about half an hour to reach Adina Sharif by CNG car from Comilla city.

The shrine is located at a place called Adina on the Lalmai hill. At one time, the height of the hill was higher. Steps have been cut down the hill to climb to the shrine. There is a car parking facility at the bottom of the hill because tourists from all over the country come here to visit. Especially on weekends, Fridays, there is a lot of crowd here. I started walking towards the shrine from the bottom of the hill using the stairs. I recorded a video with my mobile. While climbing the hill, I saw some poor people on both sides of the stairs who were looking for money.

Finally, I reached the top of the hill. I started walking on the hill without entering the shrine. A very beautiful place is on the Lalmai hill. When I reached the top of the hill, I saw that the hill was very wide, so I thought it was flat land. People living in the hills are doing various types of farming on the hills. Especially, there is a collection of hill trees all around. I walked about five hundred meters deep into the hill. Very beautiful scenery can be seen on the hill.

Then I again come to the shrine of Pir Shah Kamal Yemeni (RA) located on the top of the hill. Today is Friday, so the crowd of people will gradually increase here. Every Friday, food is arranged here after the Friday prayers. People from far away come here and offer food after making vows. In front of the shrine, tourists come and tie various types of threads on trees, which seems superstitious to me. You have to perform ablution to enter the shrine, so I perform ablution.

I entered the shrine and saw some people praying in front of a grave. I joined them in the prayer. The grave was decorated with various types of flowers. There were separate areas for men and women. Some people were lighting various types of candles and incense sticks near the shrine. People who come here believe that their wishes are fulfilled.

I offer Friday prayers here at 2:00 PM. After Friday prayers, many people from far and wide come in front of the shrine. They bring food in big pots. People who come to the shrine start eating food. I did not eat food, of course. I stand in front of the shrine and see people eating food. Some shops sell plastic bowls for eating and carrying food.

Finally, I prayed at the shrine and came down from the top of the hill. There are numerous graves around the shrine. I learned that the graves belong to people who have served the shrine over the ages. I went down the hill and set off for the picnic spot in the Kotbari area of ​​Lalmai Hills. There are numerous such shrines in the hills or plains of our country.
